Default Bilstein 5100

Have just ordered my front and rear Bilstein 5100s. So I am looking for advise, comments, pictures, etc. on which setting people are running the front shocks. I have a 2009 SCrew, long box, XLT/XTR, 4WD. (black, if that matters). I am running 20" with 275/55 tires so am not looking to make clearance bigger tires, just want to level the truck and lose the 2WD look.

I just had front and rear 5100's installed on my 2011 FX4 this week. I put my fronts on the highest setting and have no complaints. I will post some pics as soon as clean it up for the after pics. I have the factory 18" wheels and tires for now but hopefully that will change here in a week or two.

Not to jack the thread Jonesin' but I am also interested in hearing any advice related to which setting to run. I ordered the 5100's for all four corners and will be getting them installed in the next few days. I have a 2012 4x4 Screw and the shop is recommending the second from highest setting, which I believe is approx. 1.5" increase up front. Are there any negative effects from running the highest versus second highest?

Also getting all 4 corners. The 2WD version that I'm getting will be set at 1.95".

I know the 4WD version has completely different settings.

i have a 12 screw 6.5 ft box and have mine set at the highest, as far as on the road nothing negative to say at all, didn't even really notice a change in ride, doesn't make any wierd noises and when i finished the install the alignment doesn't even seem to be off, but have a appt to get it checked tomm.

now as far as off-road i did have an issue that bilstein did resolve or atleast i hope they did, i will know as soon as i take the truck to the dunes again.

What extra height did the AAL give you ? If the high setting on Bilstien is 2.25 high, and most F150 come from the factory 2in higher in rear, Im guessing the AAL gave you 2 inches higher as this is what it looks like in your photo.

Yes sir, pretty much have the factor rake again with increased towing capacity. They ride didn't really suffer from the leafs either....if you plan on lifting the rear...def go with the leafs over blocks. Search through the threads lots of discussions on this subject
