Depends on if you want taller than stock , wider than stick or both. I'm putting 275/65/20's and they are 34" tall tires. I have a 2" lift from Bilstein 5100's.

cost, not sure if they got more popular or if the 265/70r17's just cost more - otherwise i'd get them for sure

just put falken rocky mountain atsII's LT265/70r17's on my work truck (f250/v10 4x4) today - great price at discount right now ($680 mounted/balanced before tax) - put about 100 miles on them, but they seemed to ride very nice. For the price, I may put these on my f150 too but probably will go with a "P" rated

I've run them on many of my trucks in the past, always been a great tire. I just installed a set on my Platinum SCrew...285/55R20. Ride quality is good, definitely stiffer...which is fine, they don't feel as spongy as the Pirelli's. Road noise is a little louder, but not bad by any means. It may be an "old" design tire, but they perform really well. For me, it was between these and the new Wrangler Adventure (w/ Kevlar). The Goodyears were a little cheaper, but were hard to source locally.

The BFG AT/KO is an old tread design but the rubber compound has been changed over the years. My main reason for getting a set was because they've been around for so long on so many different vehicles and all have had very positive reviews so I wanted to try them for myself. I've been very satisfied with them, even in the rain which many seem to have complaints about. My next set of tires will probably be GY DuraTracs just to try those out.
