BAK customer service manager and I was talking about customer service while tracking the cover down and I thanked her for the responsiveness of Bak, out of her good heart she upgraded and overnight shipped my new Bak rollbak G2 cover. I'm not stating everone will receive the same service but my experience was nothing but over the top by Bak Industries. The new cover was just installed by the same installers last night and too didn't charge me to reinstall. The cover looks great and the performance is outstanding, the rails are closed off at the ends to prevent leaking, it's low profile, and has a seal between the tailgate and cover to prevent leaking which driving home I tested by driving trough a selfservice spray car wash to wash fingerprints off from installation, not one leak but time will tell if this is a keeper, but for now I'm very pleased with the professionals that took care of me and the performance of the cover.

I'll post pics tommorow
Maybe the BAK folks read this thread.

I'm happy with my X2 Revolver so far with 20 degree winter days & 6 months ownership.

My truck came with the Ford Custom accessories BAK G1 cover. It leaks like a seive. Once the winter is over I have to go over every seam on every seal with some silicone to stop the leaks. All the panels are holding water too.

Default Factory top

Was thinking of ordering the hard fold up bed cover when I ordered my truck. Anyone have issues with these?

My Extang on one of our 11's Has been great except for freezing rain, at which point everything sort of cements together until it thaws say midday and then the tail gate can open up. I would open it or take it off if you need to before you need to use it under those conditions or park it in the garage overnight. You may notice some leakage if left setting in a soaker but have never had anything get wet on the move.

//////that is true but they also remove in about 40 seconds and go back on in 5 minutes. Plus more head space when closed for say furniture under cover or building materials. I'd say choice of cover depends on you needs and in rails inside the bed is nicer looking than on top of the rails. On top gives more head room for taller objects. You can also close it down and tie it if you need to partially cover, say mattress set.

I have sold quite a few of the BAK products, people seem to really love the fibremax. I'm starting to wonder if I am going to get a few call backs soon haha! :S

good point is you don't have to shovel out a box load of snow, the bad point is you can't get into the box if the weather turns south on bad winter days and nights..
