I live in cold *** Alberta and I find they suck for getting warm but keep up very good once warm. The cabin is the size of a van though, lol. In answer to your question I`d say auto, it doesn`t blow until there is heat to blow. My heater won`t go full tilt until 140 degrees F. I suppose when it is really cold a guy could sneak a little by turning it on at a lower temp. My problem is how long this truck takes to get to 140, I haven`t tried a winter front or cardboard but it isn`t too special for a new vehicle.

Yep. I'm in coldass Alberta too. I share your experience. The 2011 EB takes *FOREVER* to heat up. It can easily be 2 or 3 miles of city driving before you get anything you could describe as "heat."

Once it warms up, though, it is very warm.

I'm gonna be looking for a grill blanket for next winter.
