Default Best Drilled & Slotted Rotors?

Hey everyone. Well, I had to put new rotors on my '14 yesterday. I decided to just throw a set of the OEM ones on there but then started thinking about it and realized that next time I need to put some drilled & slotted rotors on when I do new brake pads next time. I guess I'm a 'hard braker,' or something.

Anyways, what's the best 'bang for your buck' drilled and slotted rotor that you guys have installed?

I've heard good things about "Hawk."

Thanks!

I worked at Napa for years. I just put on Reactive One Rotors. (Just slotted) and their Adaptive One pads. They are day and night difference over OEM garbage ford gives us. No Dust and lifetime warranty!

I haven't heard much feedback on Hawk Rotors. Their pads on the other hand are great!

There are a lot of companies that make Drilled and Slotted Rotors. To be honest, the blanks are most likely sourced from the same manufacture ( Centric ) and then the company will drill and slot them.

R1 Concepts, Stillen are couple companies off the top of my head.

I really enjoy my powerstop Z36 kit. I put them on about a month ago. Pretty nice improvement over stock. This is a popular choice here on the forums, especially if you tow a bit more than normal. My stock pads were almost done, and my rotors were scored pretty well. Decided to replace both the rotors and pads on the front. I got my through Summit. Everything I needed was supplied (Rotors, Pads, Clips, grease for pads).

Most of what I've heard is that you want to stay away from drilled rotors because they have a tendency to crack (except the really high end rotors). Slotted is where its at.

This. I pull the travel trailer in my avatar and the powerstops were an immediate improvement.

2012-2014 F150 / Raptor Power Stop Z36 Extreme Truck & Tow Complete Brake Kit
Fantastic kit...easy install... they are drilled and slotted and come with brake pads.
I talked with the guys who sell the kit and they say that the Hawk pads are good but not worth the added expense over the powerstop kit pads.
I run Hawks on the race track and they are good...and dusty.
The ones in the kit are clean and you can tell an immediatey difference when installed.

Bought new drilled rotors and ceramic pads on ebay. Didnt see the need for slotted with ceramic brakes. All came to $126,00 with free shipping. With 23,000 miles my rotors warped bad anything over 50 mph shook the truck vigilantly....

I've been happy with my PowerStop rotors paired EBC Green pads.

Chamferring the holes helps keep that from happening.

as long as you know drilled and slotted are just for looks and have no performance difference, you are good to go
