Default BedStep 2 by Amp Research

It finally was released two weeks ago for the F-150. Those with short beds have been wanting this for awhile, as the Ford OEM side step does not fit short beds.

I got mine for the 2010 XLT, with a 5.5 bed, at realtruck.com for $226.95 w/free shipping. Also, check out the Amp Research site to learn more about the product itself before you go here or another online dealer or even your local auto parts dealer that distributes Amp stuff, if you have one.

This unit can be installed on either side of truck and the part number is 75402-01A.

Like the original Bedstep (which hangs under the rear bumper), this is a well designed unit, good quality parts, hardware and instructions, and it literally (really) took more time to get the few needed tools together, than it did to actually install. And, for you scaredy cat, gurly men, no, there is no drilling needed.

Here are some pictures:

that really isn't too bad a price. I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer doesn't charge more!

Not auto dealer, if you think I meant that, I meant auto parts dealer.

Thanks for the picture with it folded up. Looks better than the OEM Ford steps and looks like a pair of them would save 50 pounds. I just bought the OEM ones off of Craigs list. May have to sell them and get these. I have the AMP Bedstep for rear and really like it.

Thank you for taking the time to post the pics. These look like a must have. Easy install, look great folded up, and they seem very functional.

You are all welcome and yes to all of what you just said. Once I saw in another thread that these were coming out I knew I would get them as my experience witj other Amp stuff has been positive. I had the Ford OEM bedstep on my 09 non-short bed, which I bought and installed myself after the sale. So when I got the 10 shortbed which cannot fit the oem bedstep, i missed having the step up and reach into the bed.

Electricstep is a great Amp reseller but they did not have free shipping on this item so that is why I went with realtruck.com

AMP Research makes some great stuff and is going all over my 2011 truck.

I just ordered a set of 2 for $193.03 each shipped, and got another $20 off (after a discount code), so actually $183.03 each, from NewLevelMotorsports.com

Wow, great deal. Good luck, I see they have bad rep on reselleratings, only four reviews though, none good. Hope you get your stuff and enjoy it. Thanks

How do they fold up, you just push them and push them to come out too or do you have to pull them out manually?
