Default Bed extender

Does anyone know if the oem bed extenders for the 15 f150 would fit our 09-14 trucks? I have found only a few from our yr and there more expensive then the new model truck. On tasca it says it would fit but would like anyone's input if u have one thanks

I'm pretty sure people have taken the extenders from their 12th gens and put them on their 13th gens, so it's likely they would also be backwards compatible.

Don't overlook ebay, I picked up mine for a song. It was used, but you'd never know it.

I installed a bed extender from a 2006ish F250 in my 2010 F-150 and didn't have any problem. Take a look in your owner's manual at how the extender operates and where the mounting bolts are and see if they're the same on the extender that you're considering. Also check the inside dimensions (width) of the bed and see if it's the same. My 2010 bed was the same size inside as the model that my bed extender came from but my 2010 has that spoiler lip on the top outside of the tailgate. That doesn't affect the fit of a bed extender but it would affect the fit of a cap or a tonneau cover that fits on the top of the bed and tailgate.

Be SURE that you get all of the bolts and any other bits that you need with it. You can NOT buy them separately. In my case I didn't get one of the bolts but was able to make an acceptable substitute with a long bolts, some bushings and some washers. Then a week later the seller found the missing bolt and gave it to me.

I got one of the plastic extenders where each side is separate and folds up instead of the one piece aluminium tubular job that takes up space in the middle of the bed. I like the plastic one MUCH better since I can fold each part up and it sits against the inside of the bed behind the wheel well and doesn't block the bed.

Set up a search of Flea bay and limit it to say, 50 miles from where you live and then save the search and the flea will E-mail you when one turns up. And/or just put a want ad on Craigslist. Have you tried the local junk yards?
