Thanks got me a kit ordered will be here Friday,stopped at 2 different ford dealers and the 2nd 1 went out to the shop and brought back a reg torx and showed it to me and said this is what we use I showed him it was a bad fit but I reckon if it works for them ,Amazon has a kit that even lists the ford bed bolt tool in description so I'm not the first to deal with this

Just goes to show, if you want it done right, do it yourself.

Aren't techs proud of their tool collections? Would most not jump at the opportunity to add a new set of sockets/bits to their box? Yet they produce the wrong bit and say "this is what we use!". Nice.
