The fault can be an over current that the BCM is detecting outside its normal range. In my case, the amber lights in addition with the turn signal were drawing over an amp more current then the BCM is used to seeing. The relays take the current off the turn signal circuit and my truck has been fine since.

I have the same problem, I've been looking for options in order to get the front passenger side signal light working again. I probably reached the max amount of resets of the DTC while using Forscan. I took the truck to the dealer and they've quoted ~$750.00 for a new BCM programmed/installed, I can't afford that right now. Do you know if the relay solution would work if I jump the front passenger signal light with the mirror signal light?

Sorry for the delay. You could rig something up by tapping into the rear signals but I wouldn't bother. Find a cheap used BCM online for about $90 and they shouldn't charge more than an hour to put in and program. It took me 5 minutes to swap out and maybe 10 to program the new BCM and keys. You will need both keys as well.
Brand new BCMs only cost $175. So $575 just to install and program is a rip off.
Do not swap at home either. The truck will be dead after the swap and will need to be programmed before it will drive again.
HERE is a link for a new one.
You will want to match the PN of the one on your truck as well.
