The dealer should not charge you more than an hour to replace it and program it as a competent technician should only take an half an hour.
You will also need both keys with the truck.
Thank you so much. I have been looking everywhere for help and with no success. Where do you recommend me buying one? I have a close friend who is ACE certified Mech who does work for GM and BMW. He can likely do the swap and has the $10,000 computer in his garage for relearning purposes. I can ask him what he'll charge. But until then, where would i buy a new BCM for my 2011 F150 FX4? And how much would you charge for a couple of those relays for my switchbacks? I would be eternally grateful. Thank you again.

I bought mine from the dealer. Couldn't really find the right one online. Even though I think they are very similar. The BCM should have some stickers with part numbers on them. But if you call the dealer and give them your VIN, they should help you find the one you need. Thinking about it now, I think they may have been over $200. (Its been a while)
As for the relays, you can put a typical automotive relay in there to get what you need. I can build you a harness that is as plug and play as it gets, or you can build your own with the given schematic below.

I know this is an old thread, but I am having the same issue on a 2016 F-150, but with my mirror signals instead of headlight signals. I bypassed the stock led's in the mirrors and put in a couple switchback strips that are VERY bright. Are the mirror signals controlled by the same module (BCM)? I am assuming I am getting the same overload issue, but don't know what is kicking the power off for the signal function only. Both mirror signals are now non-functional. Even when I reconnect the stock led's, the running light function works fine, but they just won't blink when signal is turned on.

More than likely they are on the front turn signal circuit you will need to tap into the rear taillight circuit or even the tow plug to keep from tripping the BCM for the fronts. You will need to tap into power signal else where, apply a relay to isolate the lights, or return to stock before you reset your BCM. Which should be all you need to get them working again. Can be done with a laptop and forscan or take it to the dealer to reset.

So the mirror signals are definitely controlled by the BCM? I want to go back to stock.

Do the mirrors signal in its stock form? I dont see the mirrors on the turn signal WDMs. Just as a parking lamp.

They are not signaling in their stock setup. And I don't think the signal is run thru the BCM now that you mention it. See here:

looks like it still goes through a different module that could be doing the same as the BCM. I am not familiar with that setup but that is my guess. You probably have a fault on that module and it would need to be reset.
