Default battery conservation mode

We plan on going to the drive-in this weekend and want to know how to override the shutdown mode when in the ac position?

Unhook the BMS sensor ring from the battery?

I stopped by the dealer, coincidentally next to the drive-in, and became a topic of about 4 techs, but with no resolution. What was funny, they'd never been asked that question before. I guess no other Ford owners go to the drive-in.

My truck usually makes it through the first movie then goes into battery saver mode. I just park in the back and let it idle for a bit during the second movie and I'm usually good to go. We go to the drivins usually 3 or 4 times a summer!

I was just testing how long it would stay on and only lasted 15 minutes. Truck needs to be started so the radio comes back on.

dwysywd - BMS sensor ring?
You will need to disconnect the -(negative) battery cable.

dunno if it'll do what you want but it detects current drain and puts the truck into battery saver mode..

You can disconnect the sensor. But i highly recommend running a volt meter from the battery into the cab so you can monitor your voltage so you dont let your battery go dead
