I bit the bullet and purchased a monster exhaust for my new ecoboost..

Without being able to locate a sound clip or video.
It came in yesterday, and to my surprise when I opened it, it is a 3 inch pipe,

I was under impression it was a 4" exhaust.. The instructions also are for the 5.0, 5.4, 6.2. Which I believe is supposed to be a 3". But the part number on the box is the correct number.

Could swear the banks website used to say it was a 4", tho it doesn't specify now.

Guess my question is, does anyone have this kit? Did they mistakingly send me the v8 kit misboxed? Or did banks decide to change it to a 3"?

Oh it's defiantly stainless and the tip is huge.

I will get some pics and be happy to post a video. Once I can confirm its wrong or right and install it.

I have the split dual Banks on my 5.0 and is 3", But not sure about the Eco version. I assume yours is the Part # 48761, single exit with the 5" tip? I would just call Banks to double check before you install.

Yeah it's the 48761 single side kit.

Yeah I figured I'd have to wait to call them on Tuesday. Damn holiday. Kit came Friday after closing. Just excited seeing it sitting here.

I got a hell of a deal. I contacted stage3motorsports. They didn't have it on their site. I had him add it to the site, n he added it to site for 349.00

Yes 349 shipped to your door. How can ya beat banks for that price stainless. 140 cheaper then anywhere else. I think he screwed up . But SCORE!!!!

Love Banks products. Talked to them about it last week, just dont want to make the jump until I hear how that v6 sounds. Keep us updated please sir!

BA-48761 This is the part they have listed on the site. I think it's cheaper because by the diagram it doesn't come with a muffler?

I have been looking at this system as well. Is the banks muffler straight flow thru?

So, does this Banks kit for the EcoBoost only come with "larger pipes" and "no muffler"? If you go the the Banks site it shows a pic with a Muffler at the top of the page. But, if you go to the stange3 site it only shows the "pipes with no muffler" .....Confusing.

So, what came in the box you received (is there pipes and a muffler or just pipes)? If just pipes with no muffler, suspect there won't be much of a sound change?
