Default Bakflip g2

Got a new bakflip g2 from 4wheelparts.com for 649.99. Nice product and serves as a dog shade for when I throw her in the back. Highly recommended.

Why would you use that as a dog shade?!?!?!?!?!!! There is no air movement in there. I went to get something out of mine today and about burnt my hand on the cover. Can't imagine what the temperature inside there could get to.

No, I flip over 2 of the panels so the dog can go in and out based on the leash setup.

Im about to get one of these. Any more pics on it? Think the rail clamps might bend the rail over time? Can you actually stand on the cover without permanently bending it?-not something I plan on doing, just wondering the strength of it. And just out of curiousity, any mpg improvements?

Hennesy-I believe its a max weight of 100lbs a panel. If you want more strength than that you need a solid fold from extang as it goes over the rails. Also there are quite a few threads regarding this cover that will give you plenty of opinions and feedback!

I will take a few more pics. I don't think I could stand on it as I'm close to the 300 pound weight limit. I have noticed a 1 to 1.5 mpg improvement on highway but nothing on city streets. I got it for more cosmetic and safe storage then for the MPG improvement.

The F1 is rated at 500# evenly distributed. I can stand in the middle of a panel with minimal deflection - 225#.

Ebay... $740 shipped for the F1. There are lots of suppliers on there that take "best offers". Find one and offer $740. I had seen one take $725 but wouldnt when I bought mind a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the post. After reviewing several options for bed covers (retractable, folding, solid piece), I opted for the bakflip G2 as well and just ordered on 4wheelparts.com. I live in southern california and don't really have issues with inclimate weather. I wanted something that could easily cover the bed and could easily expose the entire bed as needed. I had to call them to verify it fits my 2013. Got it for $632.76 for my truck and just waiting on the shipping. Thanks again for the post
