Please keep us updated. Is there a TSB associated with what they did?

Not sure if it is posted elsewhere, but I posted up a full pdf copy of this TSB in the Technical Service Bulletins thread.

Bob_Mac, was your truck built before 12/20/2010?

IMPORTANT: Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.

Does this statement in tab 11.11.11 mean the esp/warranty dosent cover the repair or it will if covered under the ESP coverage.

I think it means that if the vehicle is not under warranty, then the fact that the defect is described in a TSB doesn't put it back into warranty for that repair.

It's something that always annoyed me... A manufacturer identifies a defect, often a specific part. IF you complain about it, they can reproduce it, and the car is under warranty, they will fix it.

If the exact problem occurs after the warranty period, almost certainly due to the same defective parts batch, it is not covered.

Hmmm, what about a vehicle that is covered under the ford extended warranty program after the factory warranty runs out? One would think it was covered but.......

Thanks

Matt
