bad map sensors?
Hello. I had an issue which made me want to join a forum and share. I have a 2014 fx4 eco boost.I had an issue with the throttlebody showing a stuck open code, so I figured electronic so I should change throttlebody. Truck has about 120k miles so I figured might change Map sensors as well. There are 2 one on charge tube one on top of manifold. So I like to try and and upgrade parts abit and found Jet performance throttlebody so ordered from American truck along with 2 map sensors. Install was great great performance didnt install map sensors. Fast forward about 4 mo nths and im driving to work and charge tube pops off throttlebody, I dont know whats wrong, never had any experience with turbo. Finally saw charge tube got a new t bolt clamp and used some hair spray and its holding on. decided to change top map sensor and the other one then all hell broke loose.Ran like hell and showed downhill assist fault and traction control fault and through high voltage code for the map sensor. I didnt know which so i changed the other. Reset the computer now same problems but now also showing over boost code. So I changed back to old sensors and everything is back to normal. I just don/t understand ? 2 bad map sensors? They are TRQ brand. Scared to change anything else.Just wondered if there is any experience with this. Thanks
