after looking at the 2015/16 manual's...no fuse is listed for running lights or reverse....so my guess is your overloading the signal to the bcm/computer and trips the circuit...... if you have a trailer plug.7pin...try the reverse on that...normally the center pin/terminal...would have to go see but I think it was still yellow on the ford??

lol...sorry...thought it was the 15's thread...but still worth a try...your defiantly overloading the circuit for them to cut out...

Weird considering I have a set of rigids that allow you to run then off the reverse lights and they are 20 watts.

No I haven't installed the rigids yet. But the wiring harness they provide also attaches to the reverse lights.

About the same as mine.
I ran wire up to the reverse lights and connected both positive and negative there.
No issue - the 2 X's 18 watt lights work fine and light up whatever is behind me.
36 watts should be OK.
Make a new ground and see if that makes a difference.

I drilled a whole behind the taillight in that thing strip between the two holes and self tapped a screw with the ground wire. Still didn't work. Said he'll with it and tapped into the trailer harness and grounded to the bumper bolts. Works great now. Idk what the deal was.

like I said ...it may be overloading...the inrush of amps... may only be enough to light the lights then trips....I never had a problem using my trailer plug.....not many trailers still use reverse lights...lol

I thought about using it originally but since the lights were all the way to the side it just looked easier to wire straight up to each verses wiring both to the one wire. I don't ever use the trailer harness so it didn't matter to me
