Default Backup reverse lights problem

Just recently I installed a set of auxbeams 4 inch led lights to the rear bumper. I tapped the reverse lights so that they come on when in reverse. Got them all wired up and mounted, put it in reverse and got a flash then nothing. Turned the truck off then turned the key to the on position without starting it to allow it to shift to reverse so I could double check. Now the lights all work just fine. So again I started it and got nothing. Checked the fuse. Fuse was good. Unplugged the LEDs and still the same issue. Checked for power running to the bulbs. Got nothing. I'm at a loss. Anyone have any ideas?

Are none of the reverse lights on? or just not the leds?

Check with a MultiMeter to see if the OEM sockets have power.

Could it be a poor ground issue?

I tapped right into my reverse lights when I mounted my LEDs in the rear bumper, and the only time I had an issue was when I was testing and had not yet crimped my connections.

None of them work with the truck running. They all work with the truck off but on position shifted to reverse. Test light said no power to reverse socket

I had a set of cheap Walmart led lights wired the same way that worked fine about 6 months ago. After installing my exhaust I had to remove them from the shackles. The auxbeams are mounted to the bumper

Unsure. I guess I could check that. I tapped the ground wire as well as the power wire. Maybe I should ground it to the frame somewhere

Unplugged one of the lights and regrounded it to the frame. It still doesn't work. When I left it unplugged the other light and the two stock bulbs worked. Idk what else to do.

not much wattage difference from mine...had on my 13 and now the 16.....hooked into my 7 pin trailer wiring.. never had an issue...
haven't looked to see if a circuit breaker is inline with the trucks reverse....your lights are 18watts each...so you have added 36 watts to the circuit..
