Mine was a plug & play replacement for the factory camera. Image is upright, clear, straight lines. It took all of 10 minutes to replace. The only feature it is missing is the zoom function, which makes no sense to me anyway. I love my replacement backup camera off Amazon. I would recommend it to anyone.

thanks then it is not completely a replacement.

Comment added: went and looked at the reviews for the camera linked above, they are not good!

Default Hope this helps

I've had my 2013 since 2016 and the camera started acting up last year. I pulled the tailgate cover, unplugged the camera and sprayed it with WD40 (I was out of dielectric grease). It has been working pretty good ever since. It was the cheapest fix and only took 10 minutes.

From the reviews and your own review:

1.) no zoom
2.) Just lost some options that the OE had
3.) The picture is clear and in perfect line to the bumper (straight lines). Some times it appears very bright and maybe a little washed out(over exposed) on a sunny day, but not enough for me to remove it. I'm happy with it. I did loose all function to it, zoom does not work, but I'm not willing to pay $175 to get it programmed by the dealer.
4.) It was fairly easy to install. I have no functionality other than it being a camera. The lines are quite a ways off and I bought an oem replacement mount for ot, so I know it is the camera. The quality of the picture is lacking. It is much worse than the oem quality. I wouldn't buy it again, I would probably spend the money to get an oem one if this one fails. It's not worth the money.
5.) Easy to install but that was it. View is upside down and backwards and dealership said they couldn't reprogram it properly.
6.) The picture is clear but the lines are not centered anmd the zoom does not work also the camera stays on after putting my truck in drive and does not turn off unless you press a button on the radio to get out of the camera screen. Giving 2 stars because it works better then my camera that I replaced and that one did not work at all.

I think that is enough reasons.

The Zoom function is great when hooking up to a trailer.
with the wide view it is difficult to see when you are properly lined up with the ball.
The zoom closes the view in on the hitch.

I'll stick to my recommended camera, it worked great and easy to install and I don't need the zoom to line up the trailer, it works fine as-is. lines are right where they need to be, no issue seeing in bright light or at night. First time, every time.
