Default back up camera

2013 screw platinum- my back up camera stays on for approx 10 seconds after shifting from R to D. if i shift from R to P it will switch immediately, which it has always done previously when going from R to D. is there a switch sticking?

It's a simple setting that you or someone has changed. I forget exactly where it is, but go into your menu on your dash and look for the backup camera settings. You will find what you are looking for.

I believe that setting MAY be buried in the Sync settings... something like Rear camera delay on or off.

It is called Camera Delay. If it is set to On, when go from R to D, it waits until you get to either 5 or 10mph to switch off (I don't remember which). When it is set to Off, it will immediately turn off when you go from R to D. No matter what the setting, when you go from R to P, it will turn off.

Go To:

Settings --> Driver Assist --> Rear Video Camera --> Camera Delay --> ON/OFF

This setting is in the Truck KAM, so if the battery was disconnected for any reason, the setting will revert back to Factory

Found the setting and sure enough it was on camera delay. Must have defaulted to that when I put in a new battery. Thanks for your help
