Exclamation B10F1 DTC code with Forscan help - CEL

Check engine light came on this week. Using Forscan it shows a DTC of: B10F1:14-0A

Truck starts and works just fine even with the code, door dongs/chimes correctly.

I replaced the ignition switch with a new Motorcraft part and the code is still present after clearing it.

Do I need to replace the key lock cylinder now? Not sure why the issue wasn't the switch, since the cylinder isn't electrical and only mechanical?

Truck info: 2013 F150 4x4 Screw Ecoboost. 58K miles.

Appreciate any help, need to get the part ordered asap based on your input.

That codes shouldn't set a MIL.... It's a BCM code and has nothing to do with either emissions or engine operation.

The ignition switch has nothing to do with that particular fault code.
Does the chime sound when the door is opened with no key in ignition? When key is in ignition?

There are no other codes present. I saw a video where someone replaced the key lock cylinder to get this code to go away, but not sure I understand why that is since the cylinder doesn't have contacts.

The boo-dee-doo chime sound happens when the key is inserted. Then the check engine light flashes and remains solid. Once the truck is started, the light goes away.

It's supposed to do that.... It's only a problem if it either STAYS on or COMES on during operation.

The boo-dee-doo chime sound happens when the key is inserted.
Please answer the questions exactly as I asked them.... They were conditional.

The CEL has never flashed before when using the vehicle.

Sorry about earlier, to clarify, the door does NOT make the boo-dee-doo sound when the door is open.

One more time, last try. I need EXACT answers to the EXACT conditions about when the chime does and does not occur. These are not difficult questions.....

The issue was solved today. In case anyone ever runs into this, replacing the ignition lock cylinder solved the issue. The cylinder can be coded DIY with your existing key and doesn't require a dealer trip!
