Hi all, let me first say that my truck is set up for a perfect situation for axle wrap.
I have a 2011 with a 6" pro comp lift (5.5" rear blocks) with 35" Mickey ATZs.
I drive very conservatively with my truck. I don't spin the tires (on purpose). I have been reading some posts on axle wrap because I am hearing this sound when I pull away from a stop. It's not much of a sound but just want to make sure. It's kinda like a squeak noise (like a weight shift). I hear it as soon as I take my foot off the break and the truck starts to go forward.
I don't accelerate hard enough for wheel hop but just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?
I'm probably not describing it very well but ... thanks in advance.

This is how I fixed my truck, post #76:

If you have a one piece shaft with the slip joint at the t-case the procedure will be a little different. You don't want to apply grease in the slip joint. Instead you should use ATF or even some Lucas ATF conditioner/stop leak (just because it is slightly thicker).

Is the truck shuddering at all on takeoff?
I had a similar issue with my old 99 F350, 6 inch lift, etc... Even with the original shaft and the pinion angle corrected to line up the angle at the carrier bearing was great enough to induce some whipping/shuddering.
I ditched the factory two piece shaft for a custom 1 piece shaft with a double cardan joint. Problem solved.
