Default Auto up/down windows

Hey,

Just question I've got auto down on both front windows.

Are both fronts supposed to be auto up as well?

My drivers goes auto up but not the passenger, only manually.

Can't remember for the life of me lol if it worked auto up before or not.

Both of my fronts are "auto" and work as such. I have rolled them up, simultaneously, using the "auto" feature.

Thanks. Looks like my switch may be going bad.

Nope bought it with 38k km on it 3 years ago.

Just went out and tested it from the pass side switch and it only goes auto down and manual up.

Sounds like a dirty or faulty switch. They make this stuff called Deoxit. You can get it on amazon. Electronics cleaner. Spray it in the switch and work the switch up and down a few times. It'll clean it.

My driver's window didn't want to go up with the switch about 50% of the time. Just sprayed some Deoxit in it two days ago and it fixed it right up.

Okay will try that. Just seems fishy that both switches both drivers and pass side won't work unless they both back feed through the same wiring.

Well found some info on a focus ST forum which suprisingly points me to the owners manual and here it is:

Restoring the one-touch up functionality (front windows only)
Under low battery power conditions, one-touch up only functionality may
be lost. To reset this function after restoring full battery power, pull the
switch to the one-touch up position, hold the switch until the glass
reaches the stall position and continue to hold for two seconds. Press the
window switch down and operate the window to the full down position.
One-touch up will now be functional. Perform one-touch up
re-calibration with the door closed only. Calibrating with the door
open will cause the window to continuously bounce back.

Will try it when I get home tonight.
