Just a tip, getting the shock assembly back in is a huge pain in the ***. It doesn't just slide back in like they say in the instructions. Use your scissor jack or a bottle jack and place it between the lower control arm and the frame. It will widen the gap and you can get the shock back in.

The autospring instructions tell you to use a bottle jack while reinstalling the struts.

I will be doing this install on Wednesday, any helpful tips would be appreciated. Sorry to hijack the thread from the OP, but didn't want to start a new one

Mine didn't. I sat there for 3 hours swearing and throwing my tools lol. Then I figured out on my own to use the scissor jack.

1. If you have a 2011-12 with EPAs don't forget to disconnect the battery to kill power to the EPAs before getting started.

2. An air impact gun will come in handy to get the (big)lower strut bolt loose. Or you can use big piece of pipe on your rachet as a breaker bar.

Only do one side at a time. The driver side is the tough one. Some like to do the hard stuff first, others like it the other way around.

There are a couple other install guides with pics, can't remember if it's Hellbent or Rough Country or one of the others.

So is it just a safe bet disconnecting the battery either way? I have a 2010 that I am just waiting on the tires to put my AS kit in.

No, just for the '11 and newer.
