Default auto lamp switch lights

I noticed this morning that the center of the headlight switch doesn't light up. The out side indicators do but not center like the volume control etc.

Might supposed to be this way I don't know, just put it in. Or could be a bad switch.

Hard to see in the pic but the ones that were easy to see were really blurry. (driving taking pic not good) lol

Just thought I'd ask

Thanks

Cheap *** Ford probably saved another $2.50 by not lighting that part of the Headlight & 4x4 switch! But, they lit up that part of the **** on the hvac ****! Go figure...

Pretty soon Ford wont have Any *****, everything will be controlled through the a Touchscreen HU!!! Yikes...

Thanks for the responses! Now I know. Just seemed odd that the other ones light up the middle but not that one. Like was said, probably wasn't even $2.50 but $.02. (I work for Mitsubishi they pull that stuff all the time too.) Their line is $.03 here $1.00 there per car and how many thousands of cars a year? blah blah blah.

I think I mentioned in another post how Mitsubishi brought a Ford engineer out of retirement and put him in charge of the plant for a while. Miraculously all the cars became good! Out the door! If the customer notices then the dealer can fix. Great policy. lol Kind of matched his "More money saved, bigger bonus" incentive.

I think the reason it's not lit is because it has detents and there are visible changes, ie the lights go on or off whereas the climate controls, when setting the temp could be tricky if you didn't have it lit up.

Who knows though, never thought about it as I just know the positions and with auto never mess with it anyway.

Yea it's not like you'll need to "see" the "light switch" at "night".

Nope, I know where mine is from memory and I know it's located just under the lit indicators for the lights.
