Default Audio System..what U Think??

Here is the audio system Im looking to buy for my ScrewCab. I want a nice tight clean sound.

Alpine PDX-5 amp
Focal Polyglass 130 VR
Infinity Basslink V1 sub
JL Audio CL441dsp CleanSweep
Focal Polyglass 130 CVX

Price at Cruchfield $2049.00
Price at Amazon $1370.00

Im doing the 5 channel amp because its not much more and if I dont like the Basslink I can just add a tradtional sub/box setup.

Looks good, keep us posted on your installation progress and results!

By the way, thanks for mentioning the Amazon price, that is a steep discount over Crutchfield.

Monoprice prices are insanely good. The only thing better than their price is their service, absolutely can't go wrong with those guys.

One point about the system. If you're going to spend that kind of money why go with the integrated sub setup? A custom box and a decent shallow mount sub (ie Rocford PS3 or something similar) would sound considerably better for probably less money. Just my $.02. Even with the integrated setup the system you laid out sounds great. Pics when done!

Unless you have picky rear passengers, don't worry about the rears, especially that high of an upgrade. You want your soundstage in front of you, not behind. If you are going all out, why not get an updated HU? And I would only get a high end sound processor if you can go active hence why I asked about new HU. You can get a cheaper quality LOC that will perform what you need. Some of those sound processors add ground noise to the system so don't use unless you really have to.

With the money you saved, get a decent sub setup, add some sound deadening and you will be all set. Really nice setup you have started with though, better than most. Guys have the speaker wire covered, but check out KnuKonceptz for amp wire.

I was a little worried about changing the HU. Which one do you guys recommend? What about this one http://www.crutchfield.com/s_500INAW....html?tp=20222

I want to main maintain my radio controls and sync....
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...MSFRD1&tp=3486
http://www.crutchfield.com/s_130AVIC....html?tp=20212
It says its uses aux input on HU..so I guess I will have to physically change to the aux input when I want to use sync????

I think you guys are right about the sub. If I put the amp behind the rear seat I will only have to unclip two wires should I need to remove the sub box for cargo.
