Default Anyone thinking about doing the 2/4" lowering

I had it done today and WOW! The truck handles SO NICE. I am so glad I went ahead and did the lowering. I love my "old man" 2012 KR Screw! I used the Ground Force kit but there are several out there that will do as well. The ride a slightly stiffer but much less sway, handling is almost like driving a nice car.

I had them remove the ugly step bars and it is simply awesome looking. Will post some images this weekend.

Truckin magazine has a good write-up on the Ground Force. Only concern is you have to cut off and reposition the the drive shaft brackets. Hope you don't have any drive shaft issues nor contemplating removing the drop in they future. Can't wait for the pics though.

No, had a pro shop that specializes in suspension and raising and lower vehicle do it for me. My schedule no longer allows me the time to do things like this. Still got the tools and the skill but no time

If you are trying to pop my happy bubble, you fail!

I buy a new truck every year or two, max. I fear not.

What'd the install run you, if you don't mind me asking? Being that I don't have the tools, the skill nor the time...

The kit was about $1100+. They charged about $650 in labor which sounds like a lot but taking into consideration that the front springs and rear leafs were replace along with new shocks, not so bad. The gas tank even needs to be dropped to reach one of the bolts to change a leaf spring.

I am really loving it. Just left the bank where I was able to reach the tube at the drive in with ease! Will have to get my headlight re-aimed at the next oil change as leveling the truck aimed them higher. I can reach the entire hood and windshield for cleaning and waxing now.

Just a warning the ride a little stiffer but no floating on the highway and cornering lacks any body lean in comparison.

Only had my new KR for 1700 miles but I am in love with it all over again!

Parts in the kit include:
Front coils, rear performance leafs, rear performance shocks, carrier bearing brackets, drive-line hardware, and cell foam bump stops
