Anyone else have a Canadian FX4?

How's she goin' eh?
I said "they" reprogrammed it. Meaning somone at or with Ford, an employee of Ford. Again, even contracted out I didn't receive paper work from this magical guy, I got paper work from Ford.
My entire point was I would be concerned if a cluster was replaced by a party who is not affilliated with Ford. I do trust "they" (someone who "they" have program it) would ensure the new cluster matched the mileage on the old. Now if you buy it and it had already been replaced by an unknown party for auction, maybe its fine, more than likely its fine.

I'm sure there is a ton of hoops, legal and red tape to go thru. Your dealer either way; hiring a third party or an in house guy would make sure their *** was covered.

You forgot to add the 'eh?' part until Coyote to designate the Canadian model. I have a Canadian 4x4 with a tow package (has hitch and trailer light connector), I think it's XLT. Whats all this about a max tow package, what's included in it? How do you know what your truck was equipped with? I think I might try to get the build sheet off of Ford. You will know for sure if your truck is Canadian by the sticker in the door jamb. Mine has the blue needle guages with the MPH on top. If I go into engineering mode in the guage cluster the temp and distance readouts are in metric. I believe Canadian models have the guage cluster and front bumper swapped to be US legal. Mine has DRL and engine block heater as well. Only previous owner was a company in NW territory called Nogha IIRC. Still have their logbooks in the glovebox, which kept records of the km everytime they used it. Seems my mileage is accurate when converted. I think carfax shows you mileage history as well.

Bumpers are the same. Some states require two plates, same with us. The only difference there is one or two grey boxes or one with plate mount. Even then it’s cus of eco or coyote.
DRL would be Canadian, engine block heater is a northern climate thing. I’ve heard of trucks in border states that have them along with Alaska.

Exactly 7 states receive trucks with the block heater.

Yep
I feel bad for you guys who have bought used eastern Canadian trucks.
Out west we call them Easter Bunnies and we avoid them like the plague.
They tend to use so much salt out of East on the winter roads and EasterBunnies have a tendency to rust out much faster than the Western vehicles.
As far as HD radio my truck has it but it only makes a difference in a select few cities and stations.
I too have the max tow but thankfully no tow mirrors.
Cheers

Also true in the USA. East is salt heavy.
Morris, my state certainly does, and yours. Although my truck came from OH, so no heater. I forget which 7, somewhere on Ford's site is a list. I never use the heater anyway, most of our cars have one.
