Anyone completely removed rear seat?
Has anyone completely removed their rear seat from a '09 - '13 Super Cab? If so, what did you do with the extra room? In cab tool box? Dog run? Pictures maybe?
Replys appreciated.

Thanks for the pictures miked2. That looks good, I like it. I think that would be worth the effort, made a lot of extra room. Are the bolts at the rear in the floor body bolts to the frame?
Thanks again for your reply, it is very helpful.

Huh. I think theres plenty of room with the seat bottom folded up...? I could see if you wanted to permantly mount a toolbox or something but to lose the ability to carry 3 more people just cause???

I did. I bought my 2012 SuperCab with the explicit intention of taking out the back seat and building in a storage unit. I've taken out the seat, but it will be this summer before I design and install the storage unit. The general idea will be to have a raised floor under which to put heavy things like my toolbox, Pull Pal and HiLift jack, and something along the back wall with cubbies for first aid kit, fire extinguisher, etc. That will leave a big space with a flat floor and rear wall for temporary cargo.
To get the seat out you start by removing the backrest. You do this by inserting a large screwdriver past the seatbelt stubs that emerge from the crack between the seat bottom and back, and somehow blindly finding the latches that release the bottom of the backrest. After that you lift up and off the backrest. Subsequent fasteners are all visible -- you'll figure it out.
