Default ECOBOOST Programmers

Im thinking of getting a programmer for my ecoboost, might end up going with livernois due to amazing reviews, but I was just wondering if anyone that has one, the 93 octane, does that mean I have to start using 93 octane gas or can I still use 87 octane.

If you have the 93 octane tune loaded then yes you have to run 93 octane. But you get 4 tunes with the Livernois tuner so you can run an 87 tune if you want.

First what he said ^^^
Livernois or 5 star are your best bet if you want custom tunes. If your happy with a canned tune you can just buy an SCT from Franchi on this forum. He's a moderator and a Vendor.
Livernois and 5* both have Vendors on her too incase you were wondering.

I run the Livernois 91 octane tune because we only have 91 octane around here. But I have the 93 tune for when I go to the track I will get some 93 octane.

The tuner also holds your stock tune so you can load it any time you want.

Yes, if using a Sct tuner, the first time you tune it, the Sct unit will autosave your OEM ford tune in the Sct unit and then upload the tune. So you can just reflash it back to 100% stock anytime you want by just doing program vehicle, restore to stock option. Hit me up with any questions, thanks!
