Default Anybody still using this intercooler block off?

My truck has never had the misfire issue and I saw where some people say take off this intercooler block off. It has the most recent pcm flash as well if that matters. Just curious how many people took it off. I thought the most recent or last tsb said take it off. It just seems to me towing and with Texas heat all the air flow I can get the better.

I believe that shield is to direct air away from the air conditioner condenser. I have mine.

Mine is still installed. I removed the flat blocker that the dealership adhered to the intercooler.

Can someone post a picture of the blocker?

I too have this deflector which came original on my 2011. One of the updates installed another plastic shield over the upper 1/3 on the front of an updated CAC. I have removed it. I never had the update with the adhesive blocker. Hope this helps.

Maybe that's what I was thinking of and I was confused.

I removed mine, haven't noticed any difference. I didn't see the point to the deflector besides deflecting air down away from the radiator. That's all I saw that it was doing.

Side note, What mount or how did you mount your winch?

It's a ranch hand summit bumper that I had a local offroad shop take off and add some brackets and reinforce the bumper for the winch. I really like my ranch hand bumper and didn't want to spend a fortune on another bumper and a different intercooler. I think it came out pretty good. Actually that's what had me wondering about that deflector thing.
