no problem, I assume you know how to setup the phone so you can dial without siri asking you to unlock your phone?

Looks like the $25 one only works with Iphone 5C and above (figures I've got the basic Iphone 5) while the more expensive one says it's compatible with any I-device.

The iPhone 5 and 5C are one and the same on the inside, only difference is on the outside, one has an aluminum and glass shell the other has a plastic one.

Ah I didnt know that, thanks. I wonder why the button company would have left out I-phone 5 as a compatible device then.

My guess would be the original iOS version, the iPhone 5 shipped with iOS 6 and the iPhone 5C shipped with iOS 7.
So if you did not upgrade the iOS on the original iPhone5 it probably will not work. You will probably need iOS 7 or 8 to get the button to work.

Just a CYA, in case someone with an iPhone5 and iOS6 bought it and could not get it to work.

Ford will be coming out with access to siri through sync and be integrated. Only 1 problem. You have to buy a new truck that has Sync 3 in it (2016 or 2017)

Got the Satechi home button and it works great. Comes with a clip for my turn signal stalk. Problem solved. Thanks for the help Kidastra.
