I changed tire dealers to one that would hand torque the nuts, and my rotor problems disappeared. I have the nuts on my current STX hand torqued each time. 23K miles and the brakes still ride smooth, and I tow my boat a couple times every week too. Just something else to consider.
Yup seen that many times my self, in my case however, the tires weren't due for rotating and even if they were I would do it my self, I know all about those tire monkey's, used to work with them at the dealer.

Pretty certain what caused mine to warp so soon, I am **** about keeping my truck clean so I hit the local car wash 3-5 times a month.

If Ford's rotors are so cheap they can warp with a water spray after city driving, they have no use on my truck.

I traded my 11 in with 65000 miles with original pads and rotors.

Definitely a couple of the main reasons, I rotate my own tires.
Nicking the rim, with a careless gun and getting over torqued. Plus, it gives me a chance to clean the inside of the rim.
Just wow...if they could warp after having a few minutes to cool off, from the time I pull in, pay the guy/girl and finally go into the car wash. Then...well, actually I don't even know what to say.
I will say, I am glad they're not on my truck and are probably being melted down by now, into who knows what! Probably something else flimsy.

This. I am NOT one to race - I stop and accelerate fairly moderately - and I've probably gone to the car wash 3 times in the last year and a half; all other times I wash it myself. So all of the normal contributing suspects to rotor 'warping' (yes, I know, they don't warp, etc.) aren't the case with me.

I chose to go to the dealership this last time to have them turn the rotors and put new brake pads on there - $180 to put new brake pads on all around and turn all the rotors - but when I have to actually replace the rotors, it'll be something other than Motorcraft.

So, I couldn't wait for the shop anymore and went ahead and installed the rotors from rotordepot.com last night with the help of a buddy and some tools. Pretty easy DIY job. Drove to work today and WOW!!! If I wasn't wearing a seat belt I might have gone thru the windshield!! Awesome improvement and smooth as butter!

Because this seems like a huge issue for all of us, I emailed rotor depot with a link to this thread and asked if they would give us all a discount!! We'll see.....

Rotor Depot just emailed me back!! Couple things, they said they sell a ton of F150 brake rotors because of issues just like ours annnnddd they reminded me that they already offer free shipping on all orders but they gave us a DISCOUNT CODE anyway!!

Use Code "f150forum" and you'll receive 10% off your entire order. They already refunded me my 10% which was cool. I'm pretty impressed with the response.

Hope this helps guys!
