Default Another fog light thread

I know this has been beat to death, but I've been reading all morning and haven't found the answers I'm looking for. First, I've been reading that many have switched from 9140s to 9145s...I don't want to know if its possible like every other thread I've read. I want to know about the payoff, is it worth it? Is the difference really any better?
Any next, what are some other options? I've seen the HID fogs and I REALLLLLY like the rigid duallys in the fogs, but I'm not spending 200 on those. This is more for a brighter function, not a fog light. I've been looking all morning for 4-1/2 leds and/or a metal housing with a brighter halogen bulb but not really seeing what I'm looking for

You will like the rigids a lot! I know they are a bit, you can find them for less than $200, but they are great and the light output is insane!

You can always find a knock off version of the rigids.

Be careful putting higher wattage bulbs in fogs as they will melt the plastic fog lens'.

I'd love to find a replacement for the entire assembly.
My fogs have water in them all the time.
Switched to hids much better light ouput but still fill with water!

I thought about LED fogs but was concerned that the led's may not be the best choice for fogs due to the light intensity.
When I turn on my LED light bar with anything reflective in the air I am totally blinded by the reflection. Like using high beams in pea soup fog.

The piaa's I have a specific beam pattern and an ion crystal coating on the inside of the lens.

Mine work quite well but have not had the chance to see LED fogs in action.

I'm no expert on fogs so do the research.....

I used laminex first on my stock lights but then went with rigids in the stock fog location and got the amber covers. They work great in fog, rain and snow. I get no reflection from them as they are positioned low.

I went with a flood design and really like them. I have them wired into my stick fog switch so i didn't have to run extra wires.
