Default Android update

My Droid Razr M just did an update the other day and a lot of things changed. Still gettin used to them. Anyway, I had to remove my old Sync connection as the update reset the name of my phone. It connects and downloaded the address book. The problem is it now says that my phone is unable to do text over bluetooth where it has worked for almost 2 years. Any ideas?

You may try and do a complete system reset of the Sync to alleviate that issue though it sounds like a Droid issue.

If you figure out a fix let us know.. I just upgraded to Kit Kat myself but I haven't driven my FX4 yet to see how Sync likes it.

Good luck!

I also have the Razr M and updated to Kit Kat. I had to erase my phone and reset it and now it works fine. I Dont know why it needs to be done but once I did that and reset my sync on my Plat it works great.

Never had texts work on sync.
It requests permission for it but doesn't read them.

I tried an erase\reset as Mity Mo suggested. After phone updated everything I deleted it from Sync and re-added it. After it downloaded the address book I select text message and I still get the same response, not a supported device.

I did check that I'm on the latest Sync update. 2010 King Ranch.

Have you checked the syncmyride phone compatibility chart to see if it supports text messaging.

H-60, it was working for almost 2 yrs *prior* to the 4.4 update.

Mity, mine's a v1 system. Hopefully Ford will put a corrective patch out?!?

Mine was updated also and even though I re-added my phone to SYNC, it sometimes doesn't always connect on start up. I did have Pandora working though!

Not to mention I had to reset all my dang ringtones.
