Amsoil
Perhaps they changed? One close friend in 1979 was scammed on it. He was in a small time racing circuit in the area and was head over heels with the deals just by selling it! Stopped selling it and never talked about it till years later when he was over being ashamed he had been scammed. Hopefully, they changed?
Yes there is a business opportunity for anyone who wants one, though its super low risk $30 a year.
It has been great for me and my family.
Not to mention it keeps my stuff running well here is my 2005 Mustang that gets 1 oil change per year.
Not saying they are bad products but after you factor in the cost of the product and the cost of the shipping, its cheaper just to buy a good synthetic locally. Hard to beat the dealership charging 30$ for a syn blend oil change and a tire rotation.
I deliver to my local customers for free. ( near Chicago)
Thats great if you live close to one. Even if you add the cost of driving over to one (fuel, wear and tear, time, etc) that would probably exceed the shipping cost.
Its much more convenient to drive over to the dealership and let someone else change the oil. Less mess, no cleanup and a tire rotation. Heck its still even cheaper to drive over to napa/walmart, buy oil and a filter and do it yourself than it is buying from amsoil.
I honestly cannot believe they are still in business. Must be the huge markup in their products.
AMSOIL before correct? If you had you would think differently about the products.
They formulate their products for quality/performance not price.
Markup is only about 25% between wholesale and retail.
Mobil just now rolled out their "Annual oil change"
Which is great for us they will spend millions educating consumers on a practice that AMSOIL has been doing since 1972 when they came out with the first API Certified synthetic engine oil.
Here is a nice read for you ecoboost (and other turbo engine) guys.

Here's a question. If it's truly that good of a product, why is it not on every shelf across the country? Is it lack of marketing, perhaps not enough access to produce mass quantities. Maybe they don't want to be well known? Just curious, thanks
Amsoil signature series didn't fare much better with wear protection than 30 other readily available oils on 540rat's tests.

So he put together a team of independent dealers.
and off they went. The dealer network built the company.
He was not about to turn his back on the very people that built the company.
People even leave their AMSOIL business to family members in their will.
It is sold in some independent parts stores No big chain stores (AL turned down WalMart)We sell to independent Auto part stores like NAPA etc
Now all the oil companies market Synthetic oils but the idea came from a retired fighter jet pilot who experimented with used jet turbine oil in his car in the bitter cold in Minnesota winters.
