What is dotted pattern sticker for on the windshield just behind the rear view mirror?
Is there any purpose other then placing the word "FORD"?

- it's called frit.
- it's baked-into the glass.
- inward facing side of the frit allows adhesive to bond to the glass.
- the outward facing side of the frit acts as a shield against UV radiation.
- creates a kind of third visor to reduce glare.
