I don't know if this helps, but I have Toyo Open Country A/T (LT265/70R17 rated E) with a max psi around 80, and Big-O told me to run them around 50 psi on my 99 Expedition. I tried running them 30/35 psi and I didn't like the ride.

I have run both. Always been a BFG proponent but bought some Nittos because of price and I honestly can not tell the difference. Same ride, same wear.... I say Nittos FTW

What are your opinions on each tire?

I have p265/70/17 nitto's and I love them in the snow/ice. As for off road can't say as everything is covered in snow. Haven't had them long so can't comment on tread life.

I have run them on a 250 and sorry to say a Toyota tacoma and they are a good tire if you rotate wear is very good. I personally didnt have any problem with them in rain thought they were just fine. I have read all the stuff about puttin Nittos on a heavy diesel that they wear quick. I didnt have these issues as mine was a gasser 250. They are a great tire. For what its worth I say get Nittos. When my AT/S wear out Nittos will be on my truck for sure

Been using the Nitto's for two weeks...Extremely impressed so far; however, no snow to check them out in as of yet. The other morning I left for work at 0530 hrs. and it was like -3 after a night of heavy rain. It was icy as could be out and never noticed it once during my hour long commute. Lots of confidence with these tires!

Had some rain a while back then it turned to ice. No problems what so ever in rain or ice traction was great!
