Alarm middle of the night
Hey Guys, u have an eco boost 2012 f150 XLT super crew 4wd, 305000 original KMs
My alarm keeps going off in the middle of the night and I don’t know what’s causing it.
Here are my symptoms, I definitely have a roof leak, it appears to come in from the back window as I have fully sealed 3rd brake light, water sits in the door threshold area, It hasn’t been making its way out, wondering if it’s shorting somewhere…also truck is getting old, so maybe the door contacts are dirty? Any suggestions?

Roof leak can also be the roof rubber moldings, the rivets can leak.
My truck had a body seem leak under the molding.
Search that on this site another member did a nice review.
I'm not sure if the hood switch has anything to do with the alarm or just the remote start.

The hood switch can definitely be the cause of that,it was the problem with my truck for a while. Another cause could be your door harnesses instead of the actual switches. Forscan can tell you what the last thing to trigger the alarm was.
I had a 2005 Ford Freestyle Limited that the alarm would go off at random times. What it turned out to be was the latch on the hood telling the alarm it was down. Just moved the latch to where it would close all the way. Fixed it right up.
