Default Alarm light

I just bought the oem perimeter alarm to add to my oem alarm. I also want to add a led for the Alarm, I found the oem one that just plugs in to the new module. I was just curious what you guys did and if there is anything better. I found a thread where some people added two of the ford LEDs but in the end they wernt that impressed. Car toys has some led scanners that look super bright. Anyways just curious what you did, oem or aftermarket and how you mounted it. I also have to decide if I get the oem one where to mount it where it's most visible.

Thanks!

Most mount them to the dash tray. Looks cheesy imo.

Id try mounting it to the left or right of the dash light sensor.

Here's what I did and couldn't be happier, by accident I found out this plastic piece on the dash comes off. I knew then it was the perfect spot. Hope this helps someone else!

Also this piece is replaceable if for some reason you mess up.

I got the LED, but it is all but useless. I put in the the Tray. Totally useless location, as you cannot see it unless it's really really dark outside. If I had to do it all over again, I will skip the LED.

Here is a picture if you want to duplicate, but I don't know why you would want to

Yeah, that spot is utterly useless for the led. Looks retarded mounted there.

Any spot is utterly useless for that LED. it is the dimmest LED I have ever come across.

And what the hell does the placement of the LED have to do with the timing of the engine?

How do you like the OEM unit? I was thinking of getting it.
