Default Air shocks

Has anyone installed rear air shocks on our trucks?

I have a 2010 and was wondering what kind to install if it's possible. If anyone has any info on this I'd love to hear.

Thanks

If you're mechanically able, the air bags for the rear are pretty straight forward install and come with all the pieces and directions for the install.

Back in the day "1984" I had a 78 Camaro I installed rear Air shocks. I routed the tubes in the back by the fuel filler and I could pump them up at the gas station to give my car a little raised look in the rear. It was really just for show but I didn't know if they still make those for trucks like ours? I have seen the Air Bags and they look simple enough to do but I figure the shocks would be cheaper. If I do the Airbags I might just do a 3" lift all around. Right now I have a 4x4 and it has the level kit in the front and I can see when my truck is level it almost looks like the truck is about 1" higher than the rear. I did the add a leaf on my 08 F150 and it was a pain in the butt to install and the truck road rough when the bed didn't have anything in it.

Any suggestions?

AC Delco was making air shock's in 1968 and I installed a set on my '66 GTO. Air Lift was making air bag's back in the late 50's so these item's have been around quite awhile. I think the Firestone air bag's may the way to go on these new truck's because you can tailor the height as needed.

I put Firestone air bags in my 2010 Lariat crew. I also installed an on board air compressor w/ wireless controller. Bags install pretty quick about 1 1/2 hrs total worst part was getting the back plate into the frame and threading the bolts in. I mount my air compressor inside my box in the front left corner and ran all the line & electrical thru the grommet at the front of the box. I installed for leveling when pulling trailers. can run from 5psi to 100psi. at setting higher then 35psi with out a load it makes for a rough/stiff ride.

You can get lift blocks off ebay. may try longer shackles.
I put monroe sensa trac overload coilover shocks on my 2011. got a inch lift, though I think they have settled a little since the install, that and the 400 pound camper!

I have looked all over for a set of rear air shocks but have come up empty handed.
