aftermarket 3rd brake light options
What’s everyone running for aftermarket 3rd brake lights? Do yall recommend anything or just stick to OEM? My current 3rd brake light is not even a year old and the edges are already filling up with dirt and other stuff. I’m also running the black projectors and black fx4 taillights so I don’t think they match a lot.
I found these brake lights but can’t find any reviews.

I personally never liked those brake lights with built-in led's.
I prefer to tint the OEM ones and install some led bulbs in them myself.
As long as you don't go too dark and use a good 2k clear coat it will come out looking good.

yeah, I found the recon one here on the forum, I just don’t want to cut any cables, in case I want to go back to OEM, I also read that the light doesn’t really light up the truck bed. I’m currently running LEDs inside the brake light for the cargo lights and I love how much they light up the truck bed at night.
I did read about some people just tint their OEM ones might have to look up some pictures of that.

4 years ago installed the following ebaY® find, similar to you the one(s) noted ...
Though it wasn't tinted so used Nite-Shades ...
Liked the fact that it was plug-and-play and wire splicing wasn't necessary.
Haven't any issues. e.g. leakage.

Installed: Full-Width, LED, Plug-and-Play CHMSL ««« -click-

that's another concern for me if i go aftermarket. i want to make sure the gasket holds up i don't want to ruin my headliner.
and also something that matches the dark headlights / taillights that come with the fx4s

Gasket has been more of a concern for the factory light than any other.

Recon.
I have a tonneau so cargo lighting is a moot point, if cargo lighting was a concern I would simply put some led strips under the top rails and a switch near the T.gate.

How's she goin' eh?
The two you’ve chose are nice, I’ve thought about this one.
gives the options to do different housing and lenses. Personally I’d do black housing and a clear lens, match the FX tails.
i have to agree with others, my truck came with a tonneau so I installed under the rails LED’s.
