My previous F-150 was a 2013 XLT 5.0 Shortbox 2wd. ( I miss that truck) I traded it for a 2014 STX 5.0 supercab 4wd. I just purchased a set of after market towing mirrors. The original mirrors are electric adjustable only. The new set have blinker lights, puddle lights, adjustable and heated. When I plugged in the harness, everything works except the heated part. I do not have a switch for the heated part. Everything else is either automatic by opening the door or turning the turn signals on. Is there a way I could get a factory switch that would turn the heated mirrors on and off ? I do not remember where the switch was that turned the heat on in my 2013 but if it is a dual purpose switch, the wiring might be already there. These mirrors went on so easy (after watching a youtube video) and I was thrilled that I got the other option but I would love to have the heated part also. Thanks for any info that you guys might have.

The first image may be the one you need..If it is pre-wired for heated mirrors.

I changed the mirrors on an '07 and had to move a pin at the mirror,not sure if it was on the mirror or the
harness(mirror I think).

The heated mirrors is a function of the defrost. The mirrors switch with the small symbol indicates the vehicle is equipped with heated mirrors but the mirror switch doesn't turn on and off the heat function.

You will need a new HVAC control panel with the heated mirror button.

Thanks for the info sf. I will look in to that in a couple weeks when I have time. I think that is what I need also. I remember on my 2013, the switch for the heated mirrors was down there.
