Default 3/5 drop on fx4

Before you say it ...... why are you lowering a 4wd....

1. Better launches
2. Already have the fx4
3. I use it for work and often roads aren't cleared and it will cost me a lot of money not being able to clean up when everyone else is stuck at home.
4. I snowboard a lot in winter so getting there and back
5. And I want better handling

Whos has done 3/5 drop on their 4wd?
What parts did you use?
Any issues?

I have not idea what you are asking or what you are trying to do. If you are only trying to lower the back I think you can remove or swap the rear shims.

3" drop in the front and 5" in the back, using a Flip Kit for the back. Rendering the truck useless, as you can no longer tow and haul anything due to the frame notch necessary to install the Flip Kit.

To each his own, it's his truck he can do whatever he wants with it. That said, after he is done, he will have a Car with a really big trunk that he can't use and that will get stuck on uncleared roads a lot more often!

Well I don't see why it would be useless, it actually uses a 4 inch drop in the rear so no need to knotch. Helper bags would enable me to tow or haul heavy stuff, which I never do. And yeah a car with a huge truck is basically what I need as I don't want the interior filthy from my work stuff.

I drove a FWD connect before that and never got stuck I just want the added use/security of 4wd.

As said at the start I don't need crappy comments, I'm asking questions to which you have answered none and gone off assumptions.

I am not criticizing you, It is your truck, you can do whatever you want with it. If you need a 4x4 car with a big trunk go for it.

As for useless, I meant it as in, useless as a truck, to tow/haul heavy loads, as a true 3/5 conversion will be, due to the notch in the frame, heavy lift bags won't help you there.

But it looks like you are aware of that issue and are not going with a 3/5 like your post suggested, but a 3/4. In which case the truck should still be usable to tow/haul and my useless comment from my previous post does not apply. that extra 1" make all the difference!

Quite a few folks on here have 3/4 drops on their trucks and they love it. Search for this on google for a list of threads:

Did you end up lowering it? If so, what parts/kit did you use?

I'm searching for info on lowering a 2013 Limited Eco 4x4. I don't want to slam it, just drop 2-3" so it doesn't look so goofy with 22's.

4"-5" flip kits do not use a notch.
