Default Yoke slip

I also had the shudder and clunk noise when stopping and taking off from a dead stop. Took it to dealer told them what was happening so The dealership drove it around and said yep it is the yoke slip ford f150 is notorious for it.

Left them with the truck that morning and had it back after work.

Been drive with no issue for about 2 weeks now. Nice and smooth

[QUOTE=Bruins2013;2939299]Hi All

I've learned a lot from reading through the forums the last few weeks. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2013 XLT Screw Eco with about 250 miles. Love the truck so far but have a few questions:

1.) I was going to get a Line-X bedliner, tonneau cover, wheel well liners, and floor mats. Any thoughts on whichones to get/ which of these is most important?
For bedliner I went with the bedrug mostly because I bought it off my brother when he got rid of his truck and I couldn't pass up the $150 for it. now tonneau cover I got the trifecta trifold from www.gotchrome.com for $350 bucks free shipping and received it in 2 days, I don't personally have wheel liners but will be getting some soon, and floor mats weathertech are the way to go if you didn't get the nice rubber ones from ford.

2.) I've experienced a slight shudder in the brakes when coming to a smooth stop. It happens at less than 5mph but doesn't occur when i brake fairly hard. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have never personally had this problem but hope you get it figured out.

3.) Any advice regarding engine break-in specifics?
Personally I didn't baby the truck nor did i drive it like i stole it either, I cycled it through the rpms while driving trying to not let it be at the same rpm for an extended period of time, but by all means do whatever you feel is right and congrats on the new truck man.

I have a 2012 fx4 5.0 scab 6.5ft box couldn't be happier and i cant imagine the break in could be any different with the ecoboost and the 5.0,but I could be wrong.

Goodluck and keep us posted on everything you end up doing with it.

Default Update re: "brake shudder"

I've been busy lately and haven't gotten a chance to update on what the dealer said about the brake shudder. The tech said it was actually a problem with the turbo. I'm up to about 750 miles now and still have the problem (occurs at less than 5mph). The tech said he would call the hotline and see if Ford had a solution and said he would call me the following week to let me know if they had anything (brought it in on a Friday afternoon). I didn't end up hearing back from the dealer. I guess it's good that he was able to replicate the problem, but my questions are:

1.) Do you think I should bring it back or drive it a little more and see if it goes away?

2.) If the service hotline doesn't have a fix, does that mean the tech can't do anything about the problem? Seems like a bunch of BS if that's the case.

Thanks
