Default Adjusting Fox 2.5 coilovers...

I upgraded from the Fox 2.0s thinking these would adjust easier. Well it is not. I cross threaded the collar, see below. I used the FOX wrench and it is useless, the pin comes out and does not fit well. Has anyone had any luck compressing the springs while they are on the truck? Can you direct me to what compressors work? The OEM brand like this does not work for several reasons: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ZchN4qpQL.jpg

I'd try a big allen wrench to adjust those.

Fox recommends compressing the spring to adjust their coils for this exact reason. Sorry man, and I hope it works out for the best.

Did you have the arms at full droop when doing this? Like the truck on a lift or jack?

Yes, front end lifted on jackstands, tires off, upper ball joint removed and swaybar disconnected.

I really don't like the design of that spring perch.

They are great shocks for someone that doesn't want to adjust often. I may buy ICONs and sell these. I just need to be able to adjust more often since I'm so fickle and like playing with adjustments.
