additional tie down hooks

Default additional tie down hooks

my truck has the 4 hooks in the bed. looking to add more for some more flexibility in sercuring loads. any ideas on how where to do this?

I like these off of AutoAnything.com you can get them as a retractable hook or an Anchor or Cleat. All good for up to 1000lbs!

Extang also has some bolt on cargo cleats, but I have the ones in post above.

those bull ring ones look nice. how do you install those with the styleside rail cap?

I guess you are asking about possible interference with the clips that hold the plastic bedrail caps on.

I hadn't thought about that, but I'm pretty certain I've seen these on current-model F150's ... they must be short enough to fit between the clips.

In fact, I just did a quick search for these on Amazon, and sure enough one of the reviewers was using these on a 2010 FX4 (and loved them), so they must fit just fine.

well that's pretty specifc! in a good way. my question was more that i don't see any holes or cuts outs on my bedrail caps where these would obviously go. I'm guessing you have to drill in to the bedrail cap. correct?

There is some extra holes in mine midway between the existing hooks, and higher up (I think). What are those for?

I've got 4 bull ring hooks on (or is it in?) the bedrail holes, the 4 stock tie down points and these...

Has anyone else thougt about installing a track system like the type that Toyota's and Nissan's have in their bed? Seems pretty convenient
