If it was built late enough in 2010, could there be a chance it might work the same as a 2011? (Might have 2011 parts?)

Completely different electronics, <2010 have a GEM, 2011> have a BCM. The BCM was introduced the same time as the new engines.

Default 2011 f150 platinum missing hood switch

Wondering if anyone would know why my truck has the antenna plugged into the tpsm sensor in the passenger side of the dash, yet no hood switch to be found anywhere under the hood. It’s an 11 platinum 5.0 that I just bought. Seller told me it was already equipped with command start so I got a new key programmed and ready, to find out remote start doesn’t work. If anyone knows what else I could be missing other than hood switch would be appreciated

That truck came equipped with a hood switch, should be on the driver side fender. If it's not there, someone removed it. The plug for it might be attached to the bracket for the radiator reservoir bottle.

Above is the hood switch plugged in and the spot on that bracket I mentioned where it might be residing in the back ground to the lower right just below the wires.
