Default ABS Wiring

I'm begging the gods of the F150 forum for help! Sent my father in laws ABS Module into Module Repair Pro from EBAY. It has a failed processor. He said the code I have (C1440) leads him to believe it is the transducer on the ABS Pump. This all started when i removed the back drivers tailight and it had a bare wire that went to ground. I have ordered another pump and module from a salvage yard but my question is beings it fried the processor in the module I'd like to verify all the wiring to be undamaged. I have used the search feature here and spent a ton of time on the googles but no luck. Thanks in advance!

Don't know if this will help but..... Here is what I learned about Ford ABS systems when I had issues on a 2008 Explorer. There is a module that communicates with vehicle CPU and a "salvage ABS pump" throws a code. I eventually had my original control module rebuilt as there were known weak electrical components. Was also told by a trusted tech that you could in fact drive the vehicle with a bad ABS system as the brakes still functioned, just not traction control, anti roll stability system and of course the anti-lock feature. I had been driving vehicles for 20 years before ABS became popular so it was not a huge issue for the 2 weeks I waited on the parts to be rebuilt. Unfortunately I do not recall if the different ABS component codes could have been cured by re-flashing the CPU. On my vehicle the pump still worked when tested, it was the electrical module that was proven to be bad.
Have you tried searching all the other various grounding points for different electrical systems? Proper amp fuses? Water trapped in wire loom/tubing?
Best of luck!

Yeah I know in FORSCAN to do the ABS module to match the asbuilts. I have done everything short of tracing each individual wire down and doing my own schematic.......apparently I guess nobody has one for it.
