Default ABS/VSC serious issue

Every since I've got my truck leveled ('10 SC XLT) with a set of 35's, any time that I am at slow speeds say under 35 and I have to make a sharp turn, mostly left hand turns, but will do it both ways, I will feel the ABS initiate and can hear it engaging the front left rotor. The front left rotor is also pretty chewed up by it. During the time that it initiates the ABS, the skid/traction light will flash on the dash. Theres even been a few times that it has completely locked the front left up and almost put me in a ditch.

I took it to a shop and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They did how ever tell me, that my steering angle is out a few degrees, but alignment is still good. Just really need to get this fixed before the winter months get here and I pile it up.

I don't know about Fords but with Toyotas and lifts a yaw recalibration was sometimes required.

Thanks, I'll look in to that. I've noticed it does start to activate when there is a slight amount of body roll.

What do you mean when you say:
The front left rotor is also pretty chewed up by it.
Depending on how the rotor is "chewed up," that could explain the problem, although I'd expect a competent shop to be able to diagnose that easily...

I'm thinking its from just the front left rotor constantly being engaged by abs and locking it down. Kind of hesitant to do a brake job before the underlying issue is fixed so I'm not just throwing money in the wind.

How is it "chewed up?" Are you talking about radial defects, or are they circular? Is the rotor smooth or rough?

I've put a bunch of miles on a bunch of ABS-equipped vehicles, and I've never had the ABS action do any damage to rotors--and I'm not even sure how they could.

Left rotor vs right rotor.

That may be par for the course as far as the stock rotors. This was one of my OEM fronts, after being cut 30k ago and 60k total. '14 all stock. Wish I had a pic of the inside, which was much worse.

Do you think that is what is contributing to the issue, or do you think there is an underlying issue?

My 2010 does this still with my 35's There's a TSB for it ( something about when towing the extra weight will cause this) I never got the TSB done...i just hit the TSC button when making a turn on a rough road and it stops it from happening ;-)
