Default ABS Codes Need Help!

Hi, hoping for some help regarding my truck.
2014 F150 4x4 Crew XLT 5.0

This week I had the Service Advancetrac and Check Brake System warnings come on shortly after leaving my house, along with the Brake, ABS, and Advancetrac lights. I hooked up my code reader when I got home and pulled 3 codes.
C1440 - Brake Pressure Sensor Signal Failure
C116A - ABS Pressure Transducer/ Brake Switch Mismatch
C1963 - Stability Control Inhibit Warning

Seems like alot of web searches point to replacing the ABS control module or HCU. Is there anything else I should be looking at before going that route or taking it somewhere to get that diagnosed for sure? I also saw where people have taken it off and sent it to myairbags.com to be rebuilt. Anybody here done that?

Thanks in advance!

No way to know for certain without running diagnostics on the system. Except to check and see if your brake lights are working. Bad brake light switch can cause issues.

Does anybody know if the Bluedriver can read live data ABS PIDs on an F150? I have a C1440 ABS code, trying to follow the procedure to isolate HCM or ABS module as described in the shop manual.

Thanks!

Default C1440-20 DTC Resolution without IDS or Forscan

Thank you for posting. In May of this year I stumbled through repairing the ABS HPU in my 2011 XLT S Cab 5.0L 4X4. The ABS HPU brake pressure transducer's zero had drifted to 140 PSI, setting C1440-20 & B1596-20 codes. I purchased a used ABS HPU from Gundie's in Bellingham, WA. I bench tested the ABS HPU's pressure transducer's output by connecting it to the truck's harness and reading the Live Data with an Autel MaxiAP200. The live data showed 0 PSI and returned vin# mismatch DTC. I then removed the truck's ABS HPU and swapped the electronics from the truck onto the used hydraulics (the motor & solenoid block which contains the integral pressure transducer) I then installed the reworked ABS HPU and flushed and bled the brakes with the Autel MaxAP200 service function. The DTCs haven't re-occurred to date 12/31/2021.

I am having the same issue. Stored my truck over the winter and had the front brakes seize up. had it towed to a local shop to get replaced as I didnt have the time. Since replacment these 3 codes and messages have appeared. They tried telling me it was due to my broken E-Brake cable (which has been broken for years).

As the E-Brake is mechanical, and never been an issue, I am seeking help on what to do, as I can't see it being the problem
